Police officers have been giving pupils in Alderney lessons about internet and road safety.

A Facebook post, external from Guernsey Police said schools liaison officer PC Nick Boughay, digital safety development officer Laura Simpson and Sgt Marcus Lewis had travelled to the island to deliver two days of lessons.

The force said the lessons on Monday and Tuesday were on road and cyber safety and were part of a scheme rolled out by police at every school in Guernsey.

The post added the officers would also run a lunchtime drop in service on Tuesday at St Anne's School for islanders who had questions for them.
