Emergency crews were called to reports of a man in cardiac arrest on Buccleuch Road in Normacot at about 00:50 BST on Monday. He was confirmed dead at the scene.

Staffordshire Police said detectives had arrested four men, aged 20, 23, 26 and 45, all from Stoke-on-Trent, on suspicion of murder.

A cordon has been put in place and officers will be conducting extra patrols in the area.

Residents who live on Buccleuch Road, Chaplin Road, Windsor Avenue and Hamilton Road are urged to check CCTV and doorbell footage between 22:00 BST on Sunday and 01:00 Monday.
