A man has been given a four-year jail term after pleading guilty to five child sex offences.

Kevin Lee House, 67, from Desborough, was sentenced at Northampton Crown Court after extreme pornography was found on devices seized from his home.

Det Con Abigail Jones said it was a "lengthy and complex investigation" involving detailed forensic examination.

"I hope it sends a message to other people who may be accessing indecent images of children," she said.

"You may think you have taken steps to cover your tracks but our teams are full of tenacious, talented individuals determined to uncover your offending, and we will put you behind bars."

Northamptonshire Police said that on 10 November 2018, it received intelligence that House had uploaded the most serious indecent image of a child.

The following August, a warrant was executed at his home.

Detectives said they found evidence he had discussed the "facilitation of child sex offences".

He admitted three counts of arranging/facilitating the commission of a child sex offence, possessing extreme pornography, and making an indecent image of a child.

He was sentenced on 27 August, where he was also given a sexual harm prevention order (SHPO).

SHPOs can be used to restrict a convicted person's travel, or enforce them to attend a sex offender programme.
