A section of the M1 in Leicestershire has fully reopened following a car fire.

Firefighters said a Ford Galaxy was ablaze on the hard shoulder, which stopped traffic between junction 20 at Lutterworth and junction 21 at Leicester on the northbound carriageway on Wednesday afternoon.

The fire service said crews left the scene at about 15:35 BST and no-one was injured.

There are 45 minutes of delays on approach and four and a half miles of congestion.
