A man has denied murdering a woman who was fatally stabbed on a Bournemouth beach.

Amie Gray, a 34-year-old personal trainer from Poole, died at the scene on Durley Chine Beach on 24 May.

Nasen Saadi, 20, from Croydon, pleaded not guilty as he appeared by videolink from HMP Belmarsh for the hearing at Winchester Crown Court.

He also pleaded not guilty to the attempted murder of 38-year-old Leanne Miles, also from Poole, at the same location.

She was taken to hospital with serious stab wounds but survived.

Mr Saadi remains in custody and is expected to face a four-week trial beginning on 25 November.

He was also charged with failing to provide access details to his telephone but was not asked to enter a plea for this.
