A fire inside public toilets in a Devon seaside town is believed to have been arson.

Crews from Devon and Somerset Fire Service were called to Union Lane in Brixham at about 17:45 BST on Sunday after reports of smoke coming from the toilets.

The fire service said the incident was inside a cubicle and crews from Brixham and Paignton were able to extinguish the flames.

The cause was believed to be deliberate and Devon and Cornwall Police has been informed, the fire service added.
