The owners of a Chinese takeaway which was covered in racist graffiti have thanked members of the community who rallied round to help clean it up.
Police are looking for three people who were seen on CCTV spray painting the graffiti on the outside of Dragon House on Foxwood Lane, York, at about 01:00 BST on Friday.
The owner posted on Facebook saying she was "heartbroken" and thanked people who helped remove the paint, including a window cleaner who cleaned the building's windows free of charge.
North Yorkshire Police said officers were "actively developing intelligence and lines of enquiry to identify the suspects".
Window cleaner Isaac Davidson, of Crystal Clean in York, said: "I saw the owner and she was absolutely in bits.
"It was awful to see, it was heartbreaking. I said to her, I'll come back after my shift and I'll get rid of it for you.
"I went to work and I came back and that was that."

A police spokesperson said a criminal investigation had been launched.
"We believe that the incident occurred on Friday 29 August 2025 between 01.05 BST and 01.15 BST as CCTV shows three people graffitiing the front of the takeaway.
"Our officers are actively developing intelligence and lines of enquiry to identify the suspects and ensure they face appropriate consequences for the crimes that have been committed."
Anyone with any information about the incident has been asked to contact police.
