Police are appealing for information following the death of a motorcyclist in a crash in the West Midlands.

The 27-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene after his bike hit the central reservation on New Birmingham Road in Tividale, Sandwell, shortly after 14:35 BST on Friday.

Det Sgt Julie Lyman, of West Midlands Police, said it was a "tragic incident" and officers' thoughts were with the man's friends and family.

She said there were "a lot of witnesses" who saw the incident at the junction with Hilton Road and urged anyone with information or video footage to contact the force.
