A nine-year-old girl reported missing in a seaside town has been found after a search involving lifeboats and a coastguard helicopter.
The girl had last been seen in the area of Bournemouth Pier at around 12:30 BST, Dorset Police said.
HM Coastguard said it was informed at about 13:50 and deployed a search and rescue helicopter, coastguard rescue teams and RNLI lifeboats from Mudeford, Poole and Swanage.
Shortly before 16:30, police confirmed the girl had been found.
Earlier, Insp Robin Morgan had appealed for help locating the child, saying that police were "growing concerned" for her welfare and were "carrying out searches to try and locate her".
He urged anyone who had seen her, or a child matching the description given, to get in touch.
