An old hand grenade has been discovered during a clear-out of a house.
The discovery was reported to officers just before 16:00 GMT earlier from an address on Hillside Close in Addingham, near Ilkley.
West Yorkshire Police said a number of properties have been evacuated as a precaution and Army bomb disposal experts were on their way to the scene.
A cordon also remained in place.
