A woman in her 60s has been arrested following a fire at a house in Leicestershire.

Emergency services were called to Eady Drive in Market Harborough at 16:03 BST on Tuesday.

Leicestershire Police said the fire happened in the kitchen and "inquiries suggest that it was caused deliberately".

The force confirmed a 64-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of arson with intent to endanger life and released on bail while investigations continue.

The fire was extinguished by firefighters and did not cause substantial damage to the property, a spokesperson added.
