A new skateboarding and BMX arena is set to open in Guernsey at a former swimming pool on Saturday.

The Pool House has been built in place of the derelict St Andrews School swimming pool in St Andrew.

The designers have made parts of the park movable to change its layout for different routes and jumps as well as ramps and rails around the arena.

Tim Gaudion, Guernsey's skateboard development officer, said the new arena "aims to provide a safe and exciting space for beginners or those with more experience".

Indoor skatepark with ramps, wooden flooring, a corrugated plastic roof and wall art reading "Cultivating Community." Two BMX bicycles are parked against the wall on the right side of the image. Another bike lies on its side near to the other tow bikes.
