Boat owners in Jersey have been warned to be careful of divers in St Helier's harbour, Jersey's coastguard has said.

The coastguard said there were commercial dive operations set to be carried out across the next few weeks.

A spokesperson said a blue and white flag, known as an Alpha flag, would be flown to show when divers were underwater.

They added any boat with the flag displayed should be given a "wide berth, at slow speed with minimal wake" and they should keep a look out for any divers surfacing.
