People from across the south of England have been sharing their photos of the partial solar eclipse.

The phenomenon was visible across Europe, north-western Africa, Greenland, Iceland and parts of the north-eastern US and eastern Canada.

It began at 10:07 GMT in the UK and ended at midday.

About 30% to 50% of the sun was obscured by the moon at its peak, at about 11:00.
