Police appeal after tobacco worth thousands stolen

Police have appealed for information about the theft of thousands of pounds worth of tobacco from a convenience store.

Devon and Cornwall Police said three men broke into a Premier shop on Charlotte Street in Devonport, Plymouth, between 04:30 GMT and 05:30 on Monday, 20 January.

The force said the men stole tobacco with a value of between £8,000 and £10,000.

Officers are asking anyone who knows of a person selling large quantities of tobacco, or who has CCTV, dashcam or doorbell footage in the area, to come forward.
