Katie Price's ex in court charged with rape

Katie Price's former husband Kieran Hayler has appeared in court accused of raping a 13-year-old girl.

Mr Hayler, 38, arrived at Crawley Magistrates Court earlier to answer three counts of rape and one of sexually assaulting the girl.

The offences were reported to have happened at an address in West Sussex in 2016.

Mr Hayler, from Northchapel, was not required to enter any pleas to the charges, and was granted bail on the condition he does not contact the alleged victim.

He was first charged with the offences last month.

The girl, who cannot be named for legal reasons, is not a member of Mr Hayler or Ms Price's extended families.

Mr Hayler, who has 195,000 followers on Instagram, married Ms Price in 2013 but the couple later divorced.

He spoke only to confirm his name, date of birth and address during a short hearing.

He is due to appear at Lewes Crown Court for a plea hearing on 17 December.
