Drop-off zones set up to recycle Christmas trees
- Published
Now the festive celebrations have come to an end, the focus has shifted to the post-Christmas clear-up, including what to do with the tree.
In Derbyshire, Erewash Borough Council is urging people to leave their Christmas trees at two drop-off zones to be recycled.
These are located in West Park Leisure Centre, Long Eaton, and Rutland Recreation Ground, in Ilkeston.
The local authority has said the service, which runs until 12 January, is free of charge and has been set up so that the firs can be shredded into mulch for use in council parks and on paths.
