A free festival for children aged 11 to 16 returns to Hull later.

Zebfest, which launched in 2023 under the name Beat the Heat, is taking place from 14:30 to 18:30 BST in Zebedee’s Yard.

The festival features a host of attractions, including live music, a silent disco, pizza making, archery, axe throwing, a clothes swap and street art.

Councillor Linda Tock, portfolio holder for children, young people, families and learning at Hull City Council, said the event was “just the beginning of a whole summer of entertainment”.

Zebfest is part of the Healthy Holidays programme.

Ms Tock added: “Healthy Holidays is an established part of school breaks. Over the course of the summer there is the huge range of sessions, activities and entertainment that people have come to expect.

“Everything is free, sessions are available to view and book on the website now.”
