A Guernsey charity is asking for people who have been involved with them to help it trace its 40-year history.

Grow is looking for former staff, carers, volunteers and board members to share stories and help celebrate its anniversary in July.

"Even though we all live on a relatively small island it is easy to lose touch with people and there are many who have been actively involved with the charity over the years," said former chairman Patrick Palmer.

The charity, which trains and mentors adults with learning disabilities, is planning an open day on 14 July to mark the anniversary.

Mr Palmer, who was a board member when Grow was formed, was enlisted by the charity to track down contacts.

Marguerite Talmage, Grow's director, said the charity had come "a long way" in its 40 years, so the anniversary was the "perfect time to invite Grow contacts from over the years to come and visit the new training facilities and share their memories".
