Competition to name four peregrine falcon chicks

A wildlife trust is hosting a public competition to name four peregrine falcon chicks which are nesting in a Grade II listed town hall.
The chicks hatched at Leamington Spa's town hall in April and can be watched 24/7 via Warwickshire Wildlife Trust's livestream of the nest, external.
The competition will open to the public on Monday and anyone can submit ideas for names for the chicks, three of which are female and one of which is male, on the wildlife trust's website.
The names will be revealed On Saturday 8 June.
A free event called Peregrine Watch Live will be held at Regent Grove in Leamington Spa, where people can get a closer view of the birds of prey through a telescope.
It is taking place between 10:00 and 15:00 BST on Saturday 25 May, Saturday 8 June, and Saturday 15 June.
Adult peregrine falcons are among the fastest animals on the planet, reaching diving speeds of 200 miles per hour.
The birds were once heavily persecuted but have recently made a comeback in our towns and cities.
