An opportunity for business owners and individuals to learn about the benefits of electric vehicles (EVs) is being held in a West Sussex town.

The free event is taking place on Friday morning at Parkside in Horsham, hosted by the town's district council.

It will showcase a broad range of EVs, with the opportunity to get behind the wheel and go for a test drive.

The event is open to "everyone with an interest in switching to EVs and more sustainable motoring to help reduce carbon emissions on our roads", a Horsham District Council spokesperson said.

Experts will be on hand to give presentations and answer questions on all aspects of electric motoring, environmental performance, operation costs and charging infrastructures.

Councillor Colette Blackburn, cabinet member for climate action and nature recovery, said:  “Climate change is endangering our planet, our nation and our district.

"This event is all about educating people in the transition to zero emissions motoring."
