Town's lifting bridge out of action until mid-June

A lifting bridge will remain closed for repair work until mid-June.
Poole's Twin Sails crossing, which links the town centre with Hamworthy, has been shut since Sunday after an issue was found following a routine inspection.
BCP Council said more work to fix the problem was needed. The bridge is expected to stay in the raised position in the meantime.
Nearby Poole Bridge at Poole Quay, which lifts hourly at half past, is still in use.
The council said it was "reviewing the lifting timetable for Poole Bridge with the harbour commissioner to reduce the impact on traffic".
It said traffic signals on Blandford Road had been adjusted to allow continual flow on the main road.
