Firefighters are tackling a blaze at a town centre shop.
County Durham and Darlington Fire and Rescue Service were called to Church Street in Shildon, Durham, at about 10:15 GMT.
They are asking people to avoid the area as they continue to tackle the fire.
Five fire engines and an aerial ladder platform are at the scene, the fire service said.
