Two nurses have been awarded the title of Queen's Nurse for their services in the community of Jersey.
Ann Morgan, practice development clinical nurse cpecialist and Justine Le Bon Bell, head of education and development who work at Family Nursing & Home Care (FNHC) were awarded the title.
The title is awarded by the Queen’s Nursing Institute for registered nurses with at least five years' experience working in a community, primary or social care setting.
The FNHC now has five nurses with the title, which Ms Morgan said was "a great honour".
She said: "I am both delighted and excited - this isn’t just recognition of the standard and impact of my practice but about playing an important part in the future of community nursing.
"FNHC certainly support me to achieve these aims with their commitment to excellence in care," she added.
The women had to provide evidence of their experience and skills supported by patient and colleague references.
Ms Le Bon said she was "proud to have been recognised in this way".
"The title of Queen’s Nurse is available to individual nurses who have demonstrated a high level of commitment to patient care and nursing practice, recognising an individual’s commitment to improving standards of care, and to learning and leadership," she said.
