Tribute to crash victim whose 'smile lit up room'

Olivia Louise Lewis's family described her as "kind, funny and caring"

The family of a woman who died after a car crash have described her as a "little angel" and someone whose "smile would light a room."

Olivia Louise Lewis, 24, from Ringland, Newport, was a passenger in the single-vehicle crash on Magor Road, near Langstone, early on 7 August.

The driver, a 34-year-old man from Newport, was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.

Gwent Police said he was released on conditional bail as inquiries continue.

Emergency services were called to the scene of the crash involving a black Skoda Kamiq hatchback that was travelling from Magor towards Langstone.

Her family said: "Olivia was our beautiful daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, aunty, and friend.

"She was kind, caring and funny, and was our little rock when we needed her. She would go out of her way to help anyone in need.

"Olivia was a quiet girl, but was the life and soul of any party; she loved to sing and dance, and her smile would light a room.

"We have lost our little angel, and we have a hole in our heart that can never be filled."

The family thanked the emergency services who tried to save her.
