Short film celebrates theatre's survival
- Published
A theatre that has dodged the threat of closure has produced a short film about its survival.
The Stag Theatre and Cinema in Sevenoaks was taken over by the town council in 2008, after its previous operators had been on the verge of pulling out.
Kino Holdings Ltd had only signed the lease a year earlier, when it stepped in to reopen the venue.
The film has been created to mark the council's contribution to keeping the venue running.
Since 2008 the Stag has received a total of £560,000 in grants from Sevenoaks Town Council.
An independent charity has also been created.
