Firefighters rescue casualty as crash closes M25

Following the incident traffic approaching the Dartford Crossing was being periodically stopped to prevent stationary traffic within the tunnels

Three people have been taken to hospital after a multi-vehicle crash closed a major motorway at about 08:50 BST.
Emergency services were called to a three vehicle crash on the M25 anti-clockwise in Essex between junction 30 at Thurrock and junction 29 near Upminster.
Firefighters from Grays and Orsett said they rescued two casualties at the scene.
A spokesperson from the East of England Ambulance Service said: "Three ambulances and an ambulance officer vehicle were sent to the scene."

Three patients were transported to Basildon University Hospital for further assessment and treatment
