Firefighters rescue casualty as crash closes M25

Three people have been taken to hospital after a multi-vehicle crash closed a major motorway at about 08:50 BST.

Emergency services were called to a three vehicle crash on the M25 anti-clockwise in Essex between junction 30 at Thurrock and junction 29 near Upminster.

Firefighters from Grays and Orsett said they rescued two casualties at the scene.

A spokesperson from the East of England Ambulance Service said: "Three ambulances and an ambulance officer vehicle were sent to the scene."
