International artist Eric Snell is showcasing his work at an exhibition in Guernsey.

Having grown up on the island during the post Occupation years, Art for Guernsey said he found the island had shaped his thoughts as an artist.

David Ummels, chairman and founder of Art for Guernsey, said: "It is greatly exciting for us to bring an artist of Eric's calibre back to the island."

The exhibition opens to the public on 12 September.

Mr Ummels said: "He has truly inspired a generation of creatives in Guernsey and now belongs to the elite of British artists."
