Flats conversion plan for former bank

The bank has remained vacant since its closure in December 2022

A planning application has been submitted to convert the former Lloyds Bank building in St Martin's, Guernsey, into nine residential units.
The proposal, lodged by Poppy Lea Limited, outlines the transformation of the Grande Rue site, known as Le Manoir Bancaire.
The scheme includes six newly built apartments within the main building, a two-person dwelling created from a converted garage, and the retention of two existing four-person flats.
The bank has remained vacant since its closure in December 2022.
The developer says the building's layout is unsuitable for modern commercial use and that residential conversion is the most viable option.
Nine parking spaces will be retained for residents.
