Polling stations have opened across Coventry and Warwickshire allowing voters to ballot in the general election.

Voters will decide who becomes their local MP and which party wins the UK's general election overall.

There are nine constituencies in Coventry and Warwickshire, out of a total of 650 in the UK, each returns one MP to the House of Commons.

Polling stations are open between 07:00 BST and 22:00. You can vote as long as you are in the queue before 22:00.

Voters are being reminded that they will need to take photographic ID with them.

There are 22 acceptable forms of ID, including passports, driving licences, Older or Disabled Person's bus passes and Oyster 60+ cards.

You can use out-of-date photo ID as long as you look the same.
