A murder trial date has been set after a woman was found with "unsurvivable injuries" at a house.

Egyptian national Mohamed Samak 42, has been charged with killing Joanne Samak 49, on 1 July.

She was pronounced dead at the scene in Chestnut Spinney, Droitwich Spa, Worcestershire.

Mr Samak, who is being held at HMP Hewell, was remanded in custody until a plea hearing at Worcester Crown Court on 2 August, pending a two-week trial due to start at the same court on 4 November.

In a tribute issued last week, the family of Ms Samak paid tribute to her as "a loving, sensitive and generous person" who was looking forward to so much in her life.
