A man has been jailed for 15 years for a string of sex offences including raping a child.
Kieran Huthwaite, 31, of Bentilee, Stoke-on-Trent, was reported to police and arrested in November 2021.
He was found guilty of six sexual offences at Stoke-on-Trent Crown at the end of January.
He was sentenced on Tuesday, when he was also given an indefinite Sexual Harm Prevention Order and put on the Sex Offenders Register for life.
Det Con Tiffany Berry, who worked on the case, said: “We were able to convict Huthwaite for his crimes thanks to the tremendous courage and bravery the survivors showed in coming forward and reporting the incidents.”
Huthwaite was found guilty of:
two counts of assaulting a girl under 13
raping a girl under 16
attempted rape of a girl over 16
sexual assault of a girl under 13
sexual assault of a girl over 16
Det Con Berry added: “We’re here to support anyone who has suffered sexual abuse. We have a team of specialist officers who can investigate these matters with the aim of bringing those responsible to justice.”
