Woman 'seriously injured' fleeing immigration raid

A woman has been "seriously injured" after falling from a window, while attempting to flee immigration enforcement officers, the Home Office has said.
Officers attended a takeaway restaurant in High Street, Llandysul, Ceredigion, to conduct an "illegal working visit" at around 17:30 on Thursday. The ambulance service was called at approximately 17:32 to reports of an incident.
"One woman was seriously injured while attempting to flee the scene. Officers provided first aid at the property, and she was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment," a Home Office spokesperson said.
No arrests were made and immigration enforcement officers are being kept up to date on the woman's condition.
Advanced critical care support was delivered by a Welsh Air Ambulance helicopter, and a patient as taken to hospital for further treatment.
Police received a call to assist with closing the road on Hight Street, Llandysul at approximately 18:00.
The woman remains in hospital, and enquiries continue into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
