Man arrested for murder after death of woman

A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after the death of a woman in Cheltenham, police have said.
Gloucestershire Police said officers were called to a property on Fairfield Road at about 3:30 BST to a report that a woman had been seriously injured.
The 66-year-old was declared dead at the scene, the force said.
Officers said a 77-year-old man from Cheltenham had been arrested on suspicion of her murder.
Some flowers were left nearby
The force said the arrested man remained in police custody and inquiries were ongoing.
