Firefighters tackle Peterborough straw fire

Firefighters have worked throughout the night to tackle a straw stack fire.

Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service said crews were attending a fire involving two stacks near Hod Fen Drove south of Yaxley, Peterborough.

The service said crews would be there throughout the night to make sure the fire did not spread and keep the area safe.

As a precaution it has advised anyone who may be impacted by the smoke to keep their windows closed.
