Man charged with murder after woman dies of burns

The attack happened in Firbeck Avenue in Skegness

A man jailed after pouring petrol over his girlfriend and then setting her on fire has been charged with murder.

Ellen Marshall suffered 80% burns, mainly to the top half of her body, during the attack at her home in Skegness on 22 April 2021.

She later died of her injuries in March 2023.

Leigh Pateman, 45, previously of Firbeck Avenue, Skegness, is due to appear at Boston Magistrates Court on 7 August.
