Body found in search for man missing in River Tay

A body has been found during the search for a 27-year-old man who went missing in the River Tay.
Emergency services including police divers launched a search around Moncreiffe Island after three men got into difficulty in the water at about 19:45 on Thursday.
Two of the men were traced and checked over by paramedics.
Police said on Friday evening that the body of a man had been recovered following a search of the water and inquiries were ongoing to establish his identity.
Emergency crews remain at the scene.
Tay Street was closed for a time in both directions from Marshall Place to Canal Street, but since been reopened.
The search had also involved mountain rescue volunteers, an air support unit and firefighters.

A local jet-skier also helped in the search operation
The river was searched on Thursday night with fire crews on boats as well as a local jet-skier assisting.
There were searches on foot on Moncreiffe Island and along the riverbank with police search teams using a viewer to look under the water.
