Two men have been charged with rape and child sex offences.

Adam Hastings, of Kington St Michael, Chippenham, has been charged with four counts of rape, three counts of sexual assault and two counts of sexual activity with a child.

Reece Upton, of Reservoir Road, Gloucester, has been charged with one count of rape, sexual assault and engaging in sexual activity in the presence of a child.

Both defendants appeared at Oxford Magistrates on Wednesday morning.

Thames Valley Police launched a nationwide appeal to find the pair, who are both aged 28.

The offences are reported to have taken place in Newbury, Berkshire, between 21 April and 13 June, the force said.

After an intelligence-led search involving dog and drone units and the help of the public, the pair were arrested in Devizes, Wiltshire, on 24 June.

They have been remanded in custody.
