A stretch of road in Lincolnshire will be closed for two weeks as it undergoes a £450,000 resurfacing project.

Fiskerton Road in Cherry Willingham will be closed between Waterford Lane and the eastern side of the village while the works take place between 28 May and 12 June.

Residents will still get access during the roadworks, but on street parking is prohibited. People who live nearby are being asked to add extra time onto their journeys.

Karen Cassar, assistant director for Highways at Lincoln County Council, said the works would fix potholes and create a "much nicer and safer road," for residents.

Lincolnshire County Council said this was part of a wider scheme of road improvements in the area, with resurfacing also due to take place on Croft Lane and High Street in July.
