A man has been treated for serious injuries after being stabbed, Sussex Police said.

The assault happened in St James Walk, Broadfield Barton, Crawley, West Sussex, about 20:15 BST on Sunday.

Officers were called to reports of a man being attacked by a group of people.

The 38-year-old victim was taken to hospital but has since been discharged.

The man's injuries were described as serious but not life-changing, and police said there will be an increased number of officers in the area.

No arrests have been made.
