Driver dies in two-car crash

An elderly driver has died in a two-car crash in Warwickshire.
It happened on the B4086 Wellesbourne Road near Alveston at about 06:00 GMT.
West Midlands Ambulance Service said one car suffered significant damage, and members of the public provided the driver with basic life support.
A spokesman said: "Ambulance crews took over providing advanced clinical care, but sadly, it was not possible to save the man and he was confirmed dead at the scene."
Two ambulances and an air ambulance critical care car were sent to the incident.
The driver of the second car was unhurt.
