A paraglider has crashed and suffered serious injuries in Lancashire.
The casualty was airlifted to hospital for treatment for spinal injuries after the craft came down on Pendle Hill at about 16:10 GMT on Friday, rescue workers said.
Volunteers from Rossendale and Pendle Mountain Rescue attended the scene and said it was the latest in 16 callouts already this year.
Pendle Hill, which is popular with outdoor enthusiasts, is known in local folklore for its links with the 1612 witch trials and also as the location which inspired the start of the Quaker movement in 1652.
