A baby clothes stockist has said she feels a wave of positivity after her TikTok videos of a little girl went viral amid a debate on whether she was real or a doll.

Annette Owles-Bryan, who runs Annette’s Pram Shop in Blakenall Heath, Walsall, has praised her followers and community after being catapulted to fame on the video sharing platform.

It began when the 57-year-old posted an unplanned video of a baby called Iman, who was brought into the store wearing an outfit that had been purchased there.

It quickly racked up more than a million views. But that was just the start thanks to a follow-up clip - that too went viral - to prove the infant was the real deal.

Iman's mother, who is from Ghana and brought the baby into the shop, had been left shocked by the positive response to her child, Ms Owles-Bryan said.

"She couldn't believe it," she explained. "None of us could believe it.

"She sent me a lovely message to say how much joy it had brought her family."

But it was not just the family who were brought joy.

Ms Owles-Bryan said the unlikely episode had given her a renewed sense of positivity and she wanted baby Iman to become a brand ambassador.

"People want to see her growing up," she continued.

"It's just so nice to have some real feel-good factor coming into the shop."

'Wonderful people'

Ms Owles-Bryan, who grew up nearby, explained Blakenall Heath had received bad press in recent years.

But calling it a fantastic place to work, she said: "Blakenall people are wonderful - they've put me where I am today."
