A man has been jailed for multiple car thefts in Surrey.

Billy Raddon was arrested after he was linked to the theft of a Range Rover in Sutton on 3 January and a motorcycle in London.

More than £3,000 in cash, car keys and cocaine was found during a search of a property in Morden.

At Guildford Crown Court, the 22-year-old was sentenced to nine years in prison after pleading guilty to offences including theft of motor vehicle and robbery.

A further investigation of Raddon’s phone linked him to a knifepoint robbery in Caterham in December 2022.

During the robbery, a Mercedes was stolen and videos on Raddon’s phone showed him inside the vehicle as it was being driven towards Sutton, where the vehicle was eventually recovered, police said.

A Surrey Police spokesman said: “Vehicle theft can have a huge financial impact on the victim and Raddon had no regard to how their crimes might affect the lives of their victims.”
