Father and son missing on Scottish Highlands trip

A father and son from Cheshire are missing on a hillwalking trip in the Highlands.

Tom Parry, 49, and 12-year-old Richie, understood to be from the town of Alsager, were due to return home on Wednesday after visiting Glen Nevis and Glencoe in Scotland.

Police confirmed their car was found in the Three Sisters car park in Glencoe, where they set off from on Tuesday.

Mr Parry is described as 5ft 10in, of medium build with brown and grey curly hair. Officers said he may be wearing a black and orange jacket.

Richie is about 5ft, of slim build and with light-brown hair. He is thought to be wearing a bright orange jacket.

Police Scotland Insp Craig Johnstone said: “Tom and Richie have not returned home as planned and extensive searches and inquiries are ongoing in the Glencoe area to locate them as soon as possible.

“I urge anyone who believes they may have seen or spoken to them to get in touch urgently, external."
