Three teenagers are due in court after a 17-year-old boy was seriously injured in a street stabbing in West Yorkshire.

The victim, who suffered wounds to his lower body, was taken to hospital after the Monday afternoon attack on Mayman Lane in Batley, West Yorkshire Police said.

Three males, two aged 16 and one aged 15, were charged with wounding with intent and weapons offences in connection with the incident, which took place at 15:45 GMT. They are due to appear at Leeds Magistrates' Court.

Officers appealed for witnesses, or anyone with video footage that could help their investigation, to get in touch.
