Members' club changes given the green light

Three padel courts will be built at Soho Farmhouse, according to the planning application

Exclusive members' club and hotel Soho Farmhouse has got permission to move and replace its horse riding arena, build new padel courts and extend its gym building.
West Oxfordshire District Council (WODC) gave permission for the riding arena changes on Thursday and the padel courts and gym changes last month.
The venue, in Great Tew, near Chipping Norton, was first opened in 2015 and is run by Soho House, which runs members' clubs around the world.
Other applications, including alterations to Soho Farmhouse's stable courtyard buildings, are still being considered by WODC.
In its application, Soho Farmhouse said its plan to move its riding arena would ensure that "equestrian activities remain a valued part of the diverse leisure options available to both members and hotel guests."
Two existing tennis courts will be replaced with three padel courts, which Soho Farmhouse said will help "maximise" the site's available space.
