Suffolk Police seized the cannabis plants from part of Tunstall Forest

A 33-year-old man has been arrested after officers found cannabis growing in a forest.

Suffolk Police and representatives from Forestry England were called to an area within Tunstall Forest near Rendlesham to reports of a suspected illegal cannabis grow on 24 September.

Upon arrival, officers said they found a man tending to the plants and he was arrested on suspicion of cultivating a class B controlled drug.

A spokesperson said the plants were seized for destruction and the man was released under investigation pending further inquiries.
