City centre roads reopen after major disruption

Motorists in Derby city centre faced major disruption after a police closure.
Officers said they had been dealing with an incident that had stopped traffic on Meadow Road and St Alkmund's Way on Wednesday afternoon.
A Derbyshire Police spokesperson said officers were called to the scene due to concerns for the safety of a member of the public.
The roads were reopened on Wednesday evening with the force thanking drivers for their patience.
