A man who had part of his leg amputated is recovering in a rehabilitation facility while documenting his experience on social media to raise awareness.
Tommy Hurrell from Deal, Kent, posted on TikTok and Instagram about the period before and after he had his left leg amputated below the knee.
The 20-year-old, who was born with spina bifida, has had more than two million views on one of his video posts.
He said: "I'm doing really well, all things considered, and I've made really good progress."
He added: "Occasionally when you look down and see that your leg is gone you realise there is a long road ahead of you."
Mr Hurrell is an inpatient at the amputee rehabilitation unit in Lambeth, south London, for Guy's and St Thomas' hospitals.
He said: "I'm really excited to see what the next couple of weeks have in store for me."
He has had multiple unsuccessful surgeries over the years to correct issues with his foot.

Mr Hurrell is undertaking a daily therapy programme
People with a wide range of disabilities have been getting in contact with Mr Hurrell to offer support following his surgery on 1 October.
He said: "I enjoy making my videos light-hearted and upbeat as it would be easy to go down a rabbit hole of 'why me?'
"I just enjoy making the videos and engaging with everybody that's commenting."
Jodie Spyro, clinical lead at the amputation rehabilitation unit, said: "Tommy is doing really well. He's doing great with his rehab."
Mr Hurrell is having a prosthetic fitting in November.
He said he expected to remain in the rehabilitation centre for another few weeks.
